year of film

this year I went down to the bay area 3 times, 3 attempts at getting my phlebotomy license. car broke down the 2nd time. borrowed a car for the last run, then borrowed another to go to Redding.
in between I took photos, simultaneously filling my soul.
then after late summer sunsets I relearned how to load film & developed it in the morning and did a bad job at scanning, but good enough to see what my photos looked like.
I’m very thankful for all the things I got to experience and push through this year.
ready for christmas now.

  1. I’ve always had a deep appreciation for the aesthetic of color negative film. I’m glad you picked it up.

I learned to shoot and develop film years ago but I never got into color film until just this past year. Don’t tell my fiancé but I’ve got maybe 19 rolls in the fridge right now.

Just curious what your favorite stock to shoot on is. I’ve been working on a series of film reviews since this spring.

Anyway, love your style, and I’m glad I found your blog.

    1. Hey, thank you so much for your kind words! I just saw this comment, I guess I need to come on here more and post more photos 🙂
I havent spent much money on nice (expensive) film but I really liked what happened with Kodak Gold 200. I got some Porta 400 for Christmas so we’ll see if that makes me a believer in splurging.
Have you found your favorite film to shoot with?
